Using this route you will arrive at Machu Picchu hiking literally. It starts with the car trip to the town of Ollantaytambo very early (5:40 am)

From Ollantaytambo (Kilometer # 67) you take the train to the place called "Kilometer # 104", this is the control point for the entrance to the Inca Trail. From this point you walk between 4 to 7 hours the 12 Kilometers that it takes to get to Machu Picchu, the walk is done according to your physical condition and without haste.

Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, a 2-hour visit to the Inca city will take place. The entrance is through the so-called Sun Gate, from where you can have a panoramic view of the entire archaeological site of Machu Picchu with impressive views of the valley that contains it.

After the visit to inca city of  Machu Picchu, you will take the bus to the town of Machu Picchu and then take the train to the town of Ollantaytambo and then return by car to Cusco city at night.

This route includes the traditional tour plus one of the most impressive treks towards the mountain of Huayna Picchu. It requires an additional 1h30-minute hike in addition to the visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

The tour starts early at 6:30 in the morning from the city of Cusco, transported by bus to the town of Ollantaytambo. In Ollantaytambo we embark on the train to the town of Machu Picchu (formerly called Aguas Calientes).
After arriving at the town of Machu Picchu, we immediately embarked by bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu, here we go to the access control point to Huayna Picchu which is on the other side of the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

The climb to the summit of the Huayna Picchu mountain takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour, depending on your physical condition. You can stay at the top for 30 minutes appreciating the beautiful landscape and taking the respective photos and then descend in an hour on average to the Temple of the Moon. Then you can continue with the visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

After your visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu begins the return to the city of Cusco. We use the bus to go down to the town of Machu Picchu, we take the train to Ollantaytambo and finally the bus to Cusco.

The itinerary is similar to the previous option. It starts in Cusco at 6:30 in the morning, continues to Ollantaytambo, by train to the town of Machu Picchu and by bus to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.

At this point begins the trek to the mountain of Machu Picchu that lasts on average 1h30 minutes. The ascent is of a total of 652 meters (2139 feets) and the descent takes between 1h and 1h30 minutes. Then it starts with the visit to the Inca city of Machu Picchu for 3 hours and then start the return to Cusco.

The return itinerary takes the traditional route. Go down by bus to the town of Machu Picchu, take the train back to Ollantaytambo and finally the bus to the city of Cusco.

Entrance tickets for the Machu Picchu mountain plus Machu Picchu although they have little demand, it is preferable to make reservations in advance.

The last two options are not very popular, but they have the charm of reaching the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) the last point of arrival of the Inca Trail and the view of the Inca bridge.
