Huayna Picchu Mountain

Huayna Picchu's Mountain is located inside the citadel of Machu Picchu, near the zone of the denominated "Sacred Rock". A climb of 100 feet awaits for the visitors that decide to visit this section of the world wonder. A round trip of 1 hour from and back the Sacred Rock's checkpoint with unparalleled vistas of the citadel await for the few that get to reserve the scarce tickets needed to get to this section.  (Photo Credit: Bruce Dall)

Also, Huayna Picchu's Mountain conserves some archaeological remains as the Moon Temple and other precincts that are interconnected with authentic trails, steps, tunnels and natural caves which made the view more interesting. Without any doubt, this is one of the best attractions of Machu Picchu; the Huayna Picchu Mountain offers a 360-degree view and a stunning view of Machu Picchu Inca Citadel, Machu Picchu's Mountain and the famous Sun Gate (Inti Punku). Machu Picchu Mountain, with its higher elevation, provides hikers with panoramic vistas of the surrounding valleys and the majestic Andes Mountain range.
